Nitrous Tune Question??? Help needed!!
I have an 06 GT. Ok I have a question about tunning a nitrous car. I currently have an Intake and Exhaust. I will be buying a Zex wet kit, Sparkplugs and tunner in about 2-3 weeks. I will be doing a 125 Shot.I don't have the money to get it dyno tunned so i was planning on tunning it my self off datalogging. I know a lttle about tunning and have a couple of friends that know alot about tunning. The only thing is were not too familiar with the way mustangs work and react to mods. So my question is what is an ideal comand A/F and how much should i retard my timing for this kind of shot? Also is there anything else i should watch out for when running this big of shot. Thanks!!

Don't know much about tuning.
Be careful though, don't tune it too aggressive, you wouldnt wanna cause it to knock.
By the way, i thought you needed a bigger fuel pump when using 75shot+?

I have a 125 and stock pump. However, I was told 125 is the limit on the stock pump.
When you get the kit it will tell you what to change. However, it also says if you have ANY mods you should get it tuned (custom I presume). I dont know if thats them covering their **** or not. However, you could go 75 shot until you get the money to have a tune done. I also believe with the 75 shot you don't need to change the plugs. However, I just realized I put all of my instructions in my file at work so I'm giving you this from memory.

Thanks for the help....I was told that these cars have a predictable tq table that needs to be changed before spraying alot of nitrous other wise it will go into limp mode when it hits?

From my understanding the SCT tuners and others you only have a very very fine adjustment range like + or - 10%(someone please correct me if this is wrong). While I have in the past tuned turbo 4 cylinders with a LM1 and a long strip of pavement we also had haltecs and other stand alones. The SCT dealers have much more adjustment ability so I would vote on either a dyno tune or at least getting a base nos tune from bren or doug. I can't see the NA tune for octane and timing being right for NOS but I do recall hearing people say they run the 89 or 87 tune with 93 in the tank which means you in effect get the overall timing down enough to be safe....but you might be leaving power on the table.
