RE: viper 6 spd any feed back
These tranny's handle ike 650ft lb tq from the factory. VERY RELIABLE. Only problem is the gearing isn't as friendly as the 5spd. It's close so you can get the power to the ground, but depending on the tranny you choose, you'll either lose a bit of acceleration, or a low cruising RPM. With the procharger, I'd say acceleration shouldn't be too much trouble. There are many different ratios to choose from, but since it's coming from a specific company there might not be much options. Best option is steep first gear, with like a .5 sixth gear. But basically, if you have the money, the T56 is a great upgrade IMO.

So when you say Viper are you referring to the T56? I've been wondering about getting this. I think the 6th at 0.5 would make for great highway economy with 4.10s. But the 1st gear starts at 2.66. Won't this hurt my acceleration. Am I reading this right, can someone set me straight? Thanks.

Maybe they can make you a hybrid tranny with the cobra 1st through 4th gear and a viper5th and6th. Keeping the 26 spline input shaft is the key to keeping the 650 ft-lb torque rating.

The Viper T-56 tranny is what is used in the viper stock it can handle over 650 FT/lbs torque and D&D is the place to go and get it from. I am getting one installed next year from D&D. It is definitely worth every penny!
