What does the modular engine, is the 3 valve modular or is it just the 2 valves. hope this question is not stupid

Yes the 3V is a 'modular' motor.

Looks like every V8 that Ford makes ( with the exception of the PowerStroke ) and even the V10 belong to the 'modular' family.
