noob question
this might sound ridiculous. but i'm wondering if there is anyway to remove the pony emblem off of my stock gt grill. i'm eventually going to buy a new grill and chin, or i might just spend the extra money and get a kit all together. but for the time being, i'm wondering if this is possible?

RE: noob question
I'm sure it's held on with a nut on the back of the grill. You'll still see where it was, but atleast it will be less noticable. My guess is there are two studs coming off the back of the horse and some cheap *** nuts holding it on.

RE: noob question
ok guys, i just took the panel off, now i'm working on getting the grill off. you're right, it's not molded on. there's2 or 3 studs holding it on. IMO i think it will look better less noticable. plus i'll be getting a new grill soon anyway. so i'll let you know how it looks. thanks for your replies. my 5 year old son knows more mechanically about cars than i do, so i hope i don't F*(#& up anything. anyway you guys take it easy

RE: noob question
One you remove the pony emblem, you should paint itblack (flat or gross) and reinstall it so it doesn't look like it is missing. That would give you a stealth appearance up front.

opinion please
Ok I finally got it popped out of there. I can always pop it back in if I need to. But I don't see any need to do that for the time being seeing to it that I'm going to get a new grill very soon anyway. But I would like your opinions now. For the time being, I think this looks a lot better. IMO I just couldn't stand that chrome in the middle of my grill like that. Here are the pictures below:

RE: opinion please
JD I agree with you, it does have the appearance of looking like it just fell off it you get real close. I'm going to try and paint it black and put it back on. But i only have a few more weeks to wait for a new grill so i'm not too concerned. But thanks for your opinion.

RE: opinion please
If you are planning on getting a new grill than I wouldn't worry so much about it. Even though you can somewhat see where it used to be, I think it looks better off. Others may have a different opinion. Personally I like an all black grill. Have you also thought about putting black stripes on your GT?

RE: opinion please
Same here JD. That's the exact grill I'm getting. With the foglights centered. May I ask where you are buying yours from JD? Because different websites have them at different prices. Have you found a nice one set at a good price?
Thanks,
Billy
