I call bs here... There is no way you are trapping 112mph with just an intake.
I trap 110.5 with 345.9rwhp N/A in my 06 GT... Either you have never been to the track or you just lied about your trap speed.

umm when you run the AC it makes the motor more hot, becasue the condenser coil is very hot and pulls that hot air in the engine radiator, this makes every thing hotter. when you are racing and it is that hot out run the heat on the vent spot and run at full heat, you feel like you want to die but it works and is much better on the engine. also my car run a 13.7 110 stock, after tune took me 13.5 going 112. 5 speed tho

do you have to reload the tune if you do that?
do you have to reload the tune if you do that?
It also wipes out anydata in the KAM(Keep Alive Memory), specifically max rpm and max speed that has been attained. These may not be good for the dealer to see when he scans the ECU prior to deciding whether or not to perform any warranty workthat's related to either one of those parameters.

Just another tip: Try upping your launch rpm if your bogging. You want to launch right at the threshold of your tires traction. You should here a lil bit of wheel spin on launch and I mean just a lil bit and then it should hook and go. Feathering the throttle comes into play hear.Try around 2500-3000 if you can, but I'm not sure how that will work out in a auto so you may have to play around. Practice, practice, practice.

, then foot braked to 2000rpms, then let off the brakes and get on the gas, and no there was no tire spins whatsoever!! I'm PUZZLED[sm=smiley29.gif]
Just to remind you, temps were at least 100F with very high humidity.

I have read here that the best way to launch the auto is toload it to about 1800 or so, right before lockup, then when green, lift the brake and drop the throttle to the floor!

I wouldnt say thats too bad for your first time. The heat definitely didn't help, either. Just keep going to the track whenever you can, and those numbers will start to come down

I agree that the heat has a lot to do with it and the fact that it was your first time. Last week was my first time, I have a CAI and Tune and it was about 90 degrees and my first run was a 13.9, but by the end of the day I had run a 13.4, yesterday when I went again I ran 13.5's all day long and my bestwas a 13.3. I did everything you did.
1-TCS and OD off
2-Tires @ 20 PSI
3- Quick Burnouts, 2 seconds the most
4-Powerbraked to 2k Rpm, right when you can feel the car wants to move forward, let go of the brake, full on the throttle, I didn't spin, also went when i saw the 3rd yellow, didn't red light.
And just to add I was letting the car sit for the most, 15 minutes, I turned it off and opened the hood after each run, I never turned the AC on. Sometimes it was about 5 minutes in between and I was still hitting 13.5. My best 60ft was a 2.08. A lot of practice and some good advice from a buddy of mine. Good Luck your next time out.
