Default Paxton 1200 with no intercooler?

Anyone running either the paxton 1200 or 2200 without an intercooler? Please no "you need an intercooler posts" i'm well awhere of the benefits of an intercooler, but need is a strong word when they sell the kits without it.

You can get the 1200 tuner kit for under $3k, i wish brenspeed or some other tuner sold budget S/C kits for those of us not looking for 460+ to the wheels. I'd love to have 380rwhp for $3k. Someone tell me how I can make that happen? I know, nitrous, but i'd like to have the power all the time.

Powerdyne sells a s/c for pretty cheap. I heard you can have it 8 psi for about 3k or2800.

Yep! Either that or nitrous (really don't want to get addicted to this stuff if I can have similar power for $3k). I don't want a twin screw with 4.10 gears, i'd have to start out in second every time, lol! I also like the fact that I could possibly remove the paxton in 1 day if need be, i doubt I could do that with a twin screw.

The powerdyne is cheap, but is it as reliable as a paxton? I don't think so, but maybe i'm wrong. I've been reading up on the whole intercooler debate and many agree that with a centri at only 8psi it's not necessary. I'm getting something after my wife finds the new car she wants.

Even though its not the main selling point next to power but the paxton sounds pretty sick bypassing all the air its like "whspsppsps". I acutally want a centi maybe the one from brenspeed.

Was there every a S/C that went for $10k for these cars? That don't sound right.

Moose,
What about Brent's COMPLETE package deal on the Vortech? Is it in the running on your short list??

http://www.brenspeed.com/mustang_200...chpolished.gif

I know it's 4200, but all inclusive. And if I am not mistaken, if your already have an SCT2, I believe Brent will knock the price down at least 150 or so......

Just a thought.
