Mine is usually off,pressed off at startup. I haven't liked any other vehicles system, I don't feel like exploring this one, especially on poor surfaces. With a manual tranny, I just don't feel like I need it.

I have it off during rain, snow, ice, everything... In fact the car simply won't move if you're stuck on some ice... Just shuts off the throttle. So instead you gotta take it off and give it some vroom vroom and off you go. Although I have noticed if you want to make some nice clean looking slides (right or left turn) turn on Traction control (Dry conditions) It'll shut the throttle off right before the rear end gets away from you, and then you can drive off with a smile.

The one time I turned mine off to race a turbo 350Z my rearend came around so fast it scared the Sh** out of me. Luckily the road was wide enough for me to do a complete 180 and there was no on-coming traffic!! With a S/C it helps to keep it on for a good launch =]
