S197 GT ???'s
Okay, so I don't know how many of you are like me and said when you got your car you'd never get rid of it - ever. Now, I said the same thing about my last two Mustangs, but I thought this time would be different.
Anyway, for the questions. When/if Ford brings to the table the 5.0 (302) (Like in the Saleen PJ models), and if it corresponds with the new design for 2009, will you trade in your current car to buy one?
What else would Ford have to do to make you trade in your S197?

I won't trade it simply because I like the current design more, and when it comes to power,if the 2009 comes out with a 5.0 mine will already be putting 450rwhp (god willing) so no worries there (well...a bit[:@]) why in the h**l didn't Ford put a 5.0 in the first place? or a 5.4L 3V? WHAAAAAAAAYYYYY

That funny I said the same thing about my last 2 mustangs too. Nothing written in stone but I think I will keep this one a while. Just got my 07 a few months ago but I plan a s/c and some appearance mods to make it my own. Wont get another car untill I can afford a Porsche Cayman S or a Z06. Then that will by my DD, and mustang will be the weekend car.

RE: S197 GT ???'s
I have read a couple things in car magazines that Ford is planning on expanding its use of turbo-charged 4 and 6 cylinders. My fear is that they will put in a turbo 6 with the same or more power and increased MPG. I say fear because GT should always have a V8 but with the required rise in CAFE standards we might have to make compromises to keep performance cars like GT Mustangs.
Nothing to back this up other than Ford with have to meet a CAFE of like 36 MPG by 2012. Something got to give.

I would like the Challenger when it comes out, but since I have put work into the Mustang, no way.
As far as trading because of the power, I would rather put money into this motor and make it more powerful. That will be enough for me.
