Default Car Hesitating? Please Read.

Ok the other day I unplugged my battery to do the "learning trick" on the computer.
Car really does seem like it was when I first got it EXEPT for this.

When I am in second gear and hit about 3.5 - 4 RPMs or above and floor it, well..

The car kinda jumps and hesitates. I get the traction light on the odometer but I don't feel like I am losing traction.
If I do it at 3 RPMs or below I dont feel this. But if I do it where I said or above it does.

Is my car hesitating or is it in fact jumping do to traction loss?
I can't tell for sure but I dont feel the wheels losing traction.

How can I check and what do I do if it IS hesitating?
What could be the cause of this?

I am bone stock. The only thing I have done is got new wheels and tad bigger tires but I have had them for almost 7 mo now and these can't be the cause if it wasn't doing it before hand could it?

Please help!

Well, my first suggestion would to be turn OFF the TCS. At least you may be able to determine if you're losing traction easier. I too tried the adaptive trick, but didn't really notice a difference...maybe it's learned that I drive it too hard?[&:]

Good luck.

maybe this is wheel hop

i can't see how your tires wouldn't lose traction, if you
floor it at those rpms in first or second

Yes, wheel hop is common in these cars. I've had it so bad in first that my dash is oscillating an inch in either direction!

Yes it does...it will incorporate traction control intwo ways...cutting off fuel is the first applying brakes is the second.

Just because you don't "feel" yourself losing traction doesn't mean you aren't. Car will catch it faster than you will.

To check for wheel hop, you just need to have someone drive next to you and see if the wheel is hopping.
