Nah, bought it new in April of 2006, since then, I racked up the miles. Bought the car, might as well drive it . Gas is using all of my money up though lol.

I thought the 05 thru 07 have a 5 year 60K mile warranty? That of course is on the drive train. The engine and components are parts of the drive train. IE Engine, transmission, rearend...3 year/36k miles on evrything else...

you might want to check around locally for a place that will rebuild your existing one, plus they may be able to step it up for an additional fee. Some doubt the quality of an aftermarket parts store alternator (advance, napa, autozone etc) but most come with a lifetime warranty, so it's just your swapout time that's being sacrificed if it goes out (IDK if the alt is a b!tch on these cars or not...)
...also as mentioned above, lots of places stock or can order motorcraft, not just the ford dealer. If you bring your ford part number to advance auto parts, etc, they may be able to get you one.

well I am going to go have someone look at the alternator today, I took it out and I am going up there now, guy only wants 180 bucks to rebuild it so what the hell, thanks for the help
