Default Evolution Performance

I just ordered a Combo package from Evolution Performance for my 06 GT Automatic. I got the C&L Racer intake and EVO SCT Tuned tuner. I was wondering what I should expect. I don't want to get too excited and then be disappointed.
Also, when I get this and download the 93 octane tune, what should I do about the leftover 87 octane in the tank? Will it hurt the car? There will probably be about ½ of a tank of 87 in there.

ps.. FedEx tracking # shows that I get it tomorrow! I'm so excited.

only use the 93 tune with 93 gas. kind of obvious i guess but some people out there do it anyway. if you ordered 3 tunes, I assume you have an 87 tune too. Use the 87 tune for now and run the tank down as much as possible then fill it with 93 and go have some fun. OR right now, take the car out for a spin, and leave the tranny in 3 and burn up that gas

congrats on the mods! As far as the gas goes run it as close to empty as possible before changing the tune and adding the 93.

You need to run out the 87 first! Then fill with 93 and load the tune. You'll get some pinging and
not get 100% out of the combo with 87 and a 93 tune. But you will be very happy with this mod!

Ooor.... you could find something better to do than leave a smart *** comment to a newbie with less than 10 posts... and I did try the search. Do you realize how many things come up when you have the word "TUNE" in your keywords. It's near impossible to find what I asked. Just say something nice, or dont say nothin at all.

Do yourself a favor and get your car on a dyno afterwards. You at least should see where your A/F is at with the tune. Some tunes tend to run a bit lean.

Thanks for the info man.. I do plan on making some runs within 1 month of installation.. Hopefully nothing blows up in that time frame. Fred at Evo told me that it wasn't necessary, but you know how that goes.. better safe than sorry.

I just got my evo tune and C&L like 3 weeks ago. I'm running the 87 tune, and I like it. It improved the throttle lag, and my gas mileage by like 3-5 mpg. Hope you like it. Just a side note angle the heat shield towards the front of the car so it goes in easier.
