S197richie - with the no cats and Flo's -did you feel a big power difference? Im sure you heard one...

What I'm contemplating doing is a CAI, Exhaust (LT headers, some type of H or X pipe), and a tune all at the same time? I amthinking this is a good plan...anybodys input would be appreciated.

I have a Magnaflow catted X with SLP LM and I love it. The mornings are insanely loud but hell if I have to get up and go to school my neighbors gotta go to work. I live in CA so there are a lot of rules about noise but I started it up in a parking garage and a Cop actually came over and complimented me.[8D]

no but my butt-dyno needs to be recalibrated...
...the flo's offer -0- gain, the same as any a/b (might even be losing a ft/lb or two), and the gain on the o/r x was not really too noticeable. Nobody on this forum likes this exhaust setup, but I don't mind it.
...with your ^^^ mods list I'd figure on +50rwhp (30 for CAI/tune, 20 for exhaust w/tune)...maybe I'm being optimistic...I myself would do gears, drag radials and rear ca's first (all that installed should be less than LTs installed) and worry about the exhaust later but that's just me...but the CAI/tune is the best first mod for these cars...

I still have cats and I removed my mufflers. I could try to do a sound clip if you'd like? The neighbors don't say much, I don't think it's too bad unless you get on it a little. I just didn't see the point in paying for the SLP's....

If you have cats, you arent running straight pipes....straight pipes implies no cats, mufflers, or resonators
