Well then, Brenspeed got into the 12's with his CAI/tune and DR's alone!
uh, those were bias tires...dot slicks or straight slicks. Might have been running a race-only tune that would do damage to the car if you used it for anything but track passes...probably with the best driver on the planet, on the coldest day of winter in Indiana without there being any snow or ice on the ground...
...eh, don't listen to me, I'm just bitter lol...
This thread is an interesting one. Enough so that I will make my firstpost in response to it. I would suggest a front sway bar delete and slicks. The slicks should also help out a little with your gearing since you cannot install another set of rear end gears. The next step will be to decide how badly you want to win this bet. If you want to win the bet no matter what then it is time to get drastic with shedding weight. I'd suggest taking out all the seats except for the driver seat, door skins, radio, carpteting, etc. You could even go as far as removing the headlights, tailights and spoiler. I'm sure you'd have enough money left over to buy a roll of duct tape to tape off the openings. I'm sure this bet can be won by you if you are willing to do whatever it takes.

I believe it was a CAI, 93 tune, and MAC axle-backs. No D/R's.
horsesh!t no one could run 12.80s on street tires! It was bias tires: dot slicks or straight slicks...mac a/b do d!ck, they might even cut a ft/lb or two...
