Ok, like in the previous mustangs, if you change cams how high can you go and does the pistons have to be relieved for valve clearance? IE....

There have been countless, hour long debates about cams in the new 3v engines...The thing is, Ford did their research with the cams in this engine. The $1,000+ you will be spending wont get you more than 20rwhp. Dont get me wrong, thats not bad numbers, but its a lot of money. Keep in mind, most who have added aftermarket cams to their new 3V's, have lost torque...Its almost worth buying them for that cam idle though haha

Because you will need to buy new retainers and valve springs as well...not to mention, do you know how damn expensive it is to install cams...

Cams arent holding these cars back. The guy from JPC Racing was using cams in his 9sec ride.

+1...S197s dont need aftermarket cams...its just not worth the money
