HURST SHIFTER?
Does anyone know if the Hurst incorporates the limiters so you dont overload the tranny when shifting? Heard hard shifting can mess up the tranny by overloading the shift forks.

You heard wrong. The stock tranny in the S197GT has internal shift stops built-in so you do not need external stops in the shifter. The problem with external stops is that if they ar adjusted incorrectly you can damage the forks due to incomplete engagement of the gears. This info is directly from Tremec and was actually on posted on several websitesat one point due to all the broken transmissions in '05 Mustangs once the new ownersinstalled shifters with external stops. I don't know if the information is still out there but the external stops are the CAUSE many of the manualtranny failues in S197GT's.

Thanks F1Fan just cleared that one up for me. Trying to find one locally for around two hundred. Sacramento mustang wanted 289.00 out the door! Those guys are nice but their prices are right out of Trumps Book

Dude get it out of state, you should be able to find it for 175 with no shipping. Call lmperformance their price, here is the website, http://www.lmperformance.com/5828/73.html just remember I am a cheap m'fer they gave me a 5% discount plus free shipping, it only took a few days to get here. What I did was speak with them and asked about a discount they gave me a code to order it on the net for the discount.
