Default door handles

Just bought an 05 GT and I am in absolute love....

One thing though. What's up with the door handles? They don't spring all the way back, and you have to kind of push them back in a little to make them go back into place. I suppose they're kind of cheap and was a way to make our powerhouses cost so little....

Any hints from anyone? Does anyone else have this issue? Any way to fix it? Much appreciate it!

I had the same problem when I first got my GT. I took it to the dealer and made them replace it under warranty.

Really?! Damn! I'm going to the dealer's tomorrow, then! Did you have to leave your car overnight, or was it a simple fix?

Wait until the hardware holding them on comes loose.
I would avoid the stealership as they have an excess
of scratches and dings they are trying to get rid of.
They could unload some on you for free.

Well, they way they are now, they don't go back to their normal position, and it's quite unsightly on such a beautifully sculpted machine. I just came back from the dealership--4 1/2 hours for them to get me my second key (they only had one when I bought the car last week), and they told me that I'd have to come at no later than 7 am on a week day or they wouldn't be able to look at the handles. How about that.

Thanks 157db, but I want to get this fixed before the warranty expires. I will take your advice to heart. I'll take detailed pictures of the body prior to giving it to them. Did the dealership scratch your car and refuse to fix them?
