Default Thinking about straight pipes

I miss my old mustangs sound... Just a fierce roar.. I dont have the money right now for a full exhaust.. but I was thinking about just cutting the mufflers off and getting some good tips weled on.. How obnoxious would this be? Im leaving the cats of course but I need something to hold me until i can get the the axle back.

That's the best way to go, SLP's are overprice unless you want to bolt them up yourself.
I paid $200 on a shop near by, they cuted my mufflers, and left part where they bolt on,
I pick a nice set of Borla tips and they made the pipes and weld them, it sounds incredible
i can't wait to have not L/Ts and no cats.

I like that! Anyone else have just a straight pipe w/ stainless tips? Must be cheaper than slp's...

Save for 299.99 and get pypes mid mufflers. Your coming from a 2002 sex sounding 4.6 2v engine. You will be highly dissapointed when you cant find the right combo and keep wasting money. Pypes mid mufflers and a off road H. Perfect sound for only about 299.99+175=474.99. The only thing I am going to have a hard time doing is getting rid of my slps just becuase they look so damn nice. Iam going to have to get resonators instead of the pypes.

I run the straight thru pipe & tips, sounds good...but I also came from having a '02 4.6. I can't seem to find the right set up for the '05. I heard a Flowmaster & o/r H & that sounded very good. I think I may do the catted x with straight thru...a guy down the block had that set up and it sounded awesome. Now he has longtubes, o/r x & straight thru. Too raw sounding, very, very, very raspy.[:'(]
