Default 98 camaro Z28 SS package

Ive got a neighbor picking his camaro up tomorrow its got a catback exhaust and an intake. What am I lookin at with my mods.

what kinda HP are you putting to the wheels? those cars are pretty quick but heavier than our cars. If all he has is CAI and exhaust, you should beat him inthe quarter. If he has a tune also, it could be a different story. Those 5.7L's can get pretty sick for a small amount of money.

Only one way to find out though...take it to the track and post results.

Should be a drivers race, provided he's tuned and you both have the Good Driver Mod. If he's not... you should have him by onetenth or so.

yeah hes doesnt have a tune that we know of and also hes an auto.

It should be a good race but I would put my $$$ on him. You have to do everthing right while he can just press the gas and hit a low 13...

well hes go 50,000 miles on his where I ve got 9,000 on mine so hes prolly lost some power. I just dont see him taking me.

he hasnt lost that much power....cars don't lose power unless that aren't maintained or are rode hard constantly....

I would not say that the 4th gen F-body is heavier than a S197. Mine was 3450 stock. 98's are the slowest year LS1's but the car should still run a mid-low 13. BTW 50,000 miles is nothing for that car, mine went 12.5 @ 110 with a few bolt ons and drag radials (6 speed) when it had 50,000 miles on it. It should be a good race.
