You heard wrong. The JLT and C&L will give you the same gains, it's all in the tune anyway brother. Besides, anyone see that issue of MM&FF about 2 months ago where they bolted up a complete 3" Stainless works exhaust along with the LT's and they got like 3 peak rwhp? Come on now, a mid pipe would be LAST on my list of things to waste my money on when it comes to hp gains on these cars.

w/ my mods listed below I have 291 rwhp and 302 tq, the LT and mid pipe did not give me that much hp increase, i'm thinking of changing out my K&N for a JLT because I feel thats my bottle neck, as someone in this forum pointed out to me. all the LT and mid pipe did was make it loud, but I like it. but if u want HP go w/ the intake/tune.

Intake and tune if you're going for HP because it is your biggest bang for the buck. Far more so than the mid-pipe and LT's. Get the LT's and mid-pipe if you're going for LOUD.

Thank God, someone else who hasn't been fooled.

LT are absolutley useless on a stock car.

The exhaust on these cars doesn't leave much room for improvement.
Exhuase parts utilize/unlock power you already have, unless more airflow is coming into the motor ( a sig. amout) there is not point in changing the headers.
450 + horse then you can get LT and yes then you will see the posted gains of 15 horse etc.

Think of a water hose.
Turn it on water is flowing out, put your finger on it the water shoots out much faster etc.

Get a bigger hose with the same amount of pressure the water will dribble out and putting your finger on it is pointless...

Ditto.

Let me give you guys a little secret to getting the best power gains from your mods...

MATCHING MODS IS ALMOST AS CRITICAL AS THE TUNING OF THE MODS

Sometimes it's several mods that compliment each other that bring the entire performance together. Think of it like suspension in that several pieces together make you stout and individually each piece isn't really doing much...

For me it was a no-brainer. My first mod was a CAI and a tune. It was easy to install and the performace change was dramatic.

do it do it do it
its easy, and you will need a tune(r) when you continue on with subsequent mods like CMDP's etc.
once you install them, you will be converted.

'Why did I wait so long?'

do it now. call Brent, or go to the site, and order em up.

I also vote for the tune and intake for the first mod.
