Default Question about delete plates.

I'm going to be ordering some delete plates and a tune from |3amachips. I already have a C&L Street and a Diablosport canned tune on my car. I'll be installing the delete plates and new tune along with a UDP at the same time. I'm worried about how the delete plates will affect the performance of the engine. I've seen a post before that someone posted dyno graphs before and after delete plates, I can't find it anymore. I'm very concerned with losing low end torque because it seems that my car doesn't start to pull untill 3500rpm. Also I'm concerned about my fuel economy dropping.

Matt,
do you think the CMCV plates and UDP's are worth putting in? will I notice a difference in the driving?

With both combine you should notice a difference yes....pulleys alone you normally will, depends on what you have done already. The pullies will pull harder on the top end, this might not be as noticible as the pull is very good already most of the time with a decent CAI/tune.

I did the same thing...UDP and Charge Plates and I def noticed it...the pull was much better...

As for a lose down low, yes, a graph might show it....beucase thats what the plates do, they increase low end...but really...along with teh UDP, you'll notice the pull, and no drop in low end...

If you car doesnt pull til 3500, you need a better tune...these cars are torquey as is and should feel it pull from low, and then REALLY pull once the varialbe valve timing kicks in

Dyno's don't mean shyt! My car ran a ~13.4 stock. I had a dyno tune and had my tuner put the udp's and delete plates...I then ran a 13.0... Suspension added ran a 12.8 with all current mods. My dyno graph said I had 325whp 350lb/ft tq

Here is my dyno graph after a CIA, dyno tune, CMCV plates and UDP's. Note that I have 80%of peak torque from 2000 rpm's to almost 6,000 rpm's, witha peak of 328 rwtq at about 4,250 rpm's. Not to shappy. 311 rwhp too.

Have fun!
