O/R H vs O/R X- who wins?
Hey, whats up all?
My dilemma: I dont like raspy, I like gurgly old school muscle car sound. I know that the H is less raspy than the X, but the X provides more power.
My question is, exactly how much MORE power will the X generally give me over the H? If its minimal, I will just go with the one that I think sounds the best.
Also, where do the Mac prochambers factor into this? They seem to be really expensive. what makes them so special? Who makes the best midpipes?
Thanks.

o/r x will give about 5 more hp than h. mac prochambers i believe are a little less hp than o/r h, but the high price is because of the low growl they give sounds great. but sounds like you would go for the pro chamber because you want that old school muscle car sound. personally i like the new school raspy, angry, scare the neighborhood children sound but old school is cool too.

onederful100 is right. Word of mouth on here is that the x gives 5 hp or so. In my mind, thats minimal to no gain. I personally dont favor the raspy sound of the x pipe. 5 hp gain or not, I went with the o/r h. Good luck!

Ive never heard a prochamber in person for an 05+ but I love the sound on 94-04. I plan to do headers in a few months, and I dont want the prochamber to hold me back from doing it bc it was so expensive. If I buy a regular O/R H from pypes its only like $175 which is not a lot of money, and wouldnt stop me from doing the headers. Hopefully that makes sense.

I really like the sound of my x-pipe and LTs with my stock catbacks.

I have the pypes o/r x and the mid muffler system.
If you want deep and throaty sound go with the H pipe or prochamber as the x will give you a little more rasp and a higher pitch sound
I like it but its not for everyone, it isn't that old school muscle car sound, more like a higher strung V8.
