wtf? clutch crapping out already?
I've had this problem about 4 times but the frist three were small and whatever. This 4th time really scared me though because of the combined trouble with the LCAs. Sometimes if I go WOT the engine feels like it hesitates, and then bangs into go mode. I don't see the revs rise so i doubt the clutch is slipping but it feels kind of like that. The first time it happened, I was on the highway, and I dropped it to 4th gear to pass a trucker and floored it. The car went, and then as if I kicked the clutch in and popped it real quick without knowing it, the car kind of jerked on me. Kind of feels like when you first learn to drive and you let the clutch go early and then it studders and whatnot. It's hard to describe...if anyone understands this, thank you in advance.

RE: wtf? clutch crapping out already?
Is it the clutch you are feeling or is it the fuel pump. There is a TSB on it and many threads on it. Thought I would throw it out there. Once the clutch is engaged and you are accelerating in fourth to pass the semi and became jerky i think the fuel pump is screwed up and Ford will replace it with the Fuel pump TSB out there.I would take it in for a look....JMO J

I'm afraid if I take mine to the dealership they won't replace my fuel pump. But since they want me to bring it in for the cruise control recall, maybe I'll tell them about the pump also. Kill two birds with one stone.

I brought my car in for the fuel pump and the problem could not be duplicated so the dealer refused to replace it.[>:]
