V10 T/B gains power & E.T. 12.09 N/A
while the air quality wasn't as good as last week (DA of 1559ft. vs. 770ft.) i still ran quicker.
previous with stock t/b and full exhaust= 12.15 @112.8
today's best with small collector mufflers and V10 t/b= 12.09 @ 114.77
still n/a, still stock longblock and still an automatic
there's no doubt the t/b made a difference cause i have run the car with bullet mufflers before and it didn't affect anything soremoving the exhaustwas just for the weight reduction.

a lot of bolt-on stuff and tons of testing and tweaking.
SPYDERSHAFT aluminum driveshaft, l/t headers-bullet mufflers, e-w/p, march UDP, CMCV deletes, GT500 t/b with spacer, custom CAI 80mm maf, TCI torque converter, 4.30 gears, detroit trutrac, bogart wheels and M/T tires, AJE k-member a-arms, sway bar delete rad support, J&M LCAs with custom torque links, a really good tune from ala-bamachips, passenger seat removed, lots of heat shielding around the air intake and intake manifold. battery relocated to trunk,
p/s deleted using shorter belt 12.19 @ 113, belttotally off 12.09 @114

i bought an aluminum spacer for an early v10 which was the same bore size as the stock t/b then slightly ported it to allow the throttle blades to open. also you will need to oblong the bolt holes in the new t/b. i believe JDM no offers the t/b and spacer as a kit.
best part is it works! unlike the other t/b's on the market. probably causethis is a ford factory piece and it comes with everything installed on it and just plugs in.

Good job, Ron. You are every so close now to your 11 sec n/a goal. Yeah, the TB mods are the only way we (ST cars) have been able to get the big numbers out of the KB's and Whipples. Unfortuneately, we need a lot bigger than the V10...lol
BTW: You are still restricted with the stock meter. Go bigger on that too and you might get the extra 'oompf' you need...
Where are you shifting at now? I would think if you can get it to breathe through 7K - you'd be in the 11.90's right now.

right now it seems to run best shifting at 5800 1-2 and 6200 2-3 and 3-4
i've tried raising it to 6500 and it slows down
you high hp guys need to figure out a way to get two of them on there or maybe two of the single blade f150 t/b's
i've got the "old version" steeda 80mm maf now but i may change that to a 90mm. i doubt there is too much there since it is still n/a but judging by the mph it's making some decent power. the formula i used on hardcore mustangs shows at 3550lbs it takes 418rwhp to run 114.77
i doubt i'm making that much but i'm sure it's in the 375-390 range although it doesn't show on the dyno maybe because my converter is so loose.
