Problems after my KB install..Are you kidding me!?
HELP!? ok here's whats happening...
Last night I'm driving...late at night mind you...I was in 5th (overdrive), downshifted to 4th and mashed the zoom pedal. When I did..lost ALL power and my engine started sputtering, like I was running lean/rich. No pinging, to indicate detonation. I stopped, turned the car off for a couple min. Started it back up drove low and slow for a while going through the gears and taking it easy...I hit forth gear again, and even slowly accelerating it did the same thing, only not on as drastic scale. Now I checked the wiring the the KenneBell Boost-A-Pump and a fuse had worked its way loose. But still same problem. I checked the MAF and all associated air induction from the front bumper back to the intake. Nothing...WTF!!!??? Is the tune bad? I smelled no fuel or saw any leakage. I plugged my old tuner in to see if I had any codes...none, no lights on the dash...nothing! I might have to re-trace the steps in my instalation manual to find this problem...and that manual is worse than a W.E.B. Griffan novel...SO BIG!
Any hints to try out would be helpful here!

well because you found the BAP fuse loose, i would
go back through and check all of the wiring and fuses
that are associated with the fuel delivery system.
-
after that, we'll start looking at other items

i'm pretty sure it's a minor thing and your
gonna find it...yes, the stock fuel pump is
sufficient for you now.
we'll check:
fuel lines, associated wiring & fuses
air intake (no leaks)
vacuum/boost (no leaks)
then as zeindog suggests, reflashing may be in order

I reflashed, fuel wiring (pain in the ***) and air induction. Everything was fine. If there was a vaccuum/boost leak, wouldn't it be noticable at any speed/rpm? (I'll check that next regardless)
Dig your set up there Zeindog

Ok, I think I found the problem. It looks like the "valet" bypass is stuck locked open. I'm going to get a 2mm hex key and reset it and road test it. Thats weird though if it got stuck open like that though....
