Default Strange engine behavior...

I tried to chrip second gear at a lower rpm than usual and the tires just hooked so the engine bogged. I understand that. However, for the next 1/2 mile or so, my car had very little power above 2000 rpms. I could floor it and it would just bog. I could hear the exhaust making an odd, bogging type noise. It then went away. Has anyone encounter this? Very strange. It seemed like the computer was pulling timing.

Probably was. Let it sit for an little, and restart it. Should reset the comp. If not, disconnect the terminal and you're good to go.

I find that without my cai/tune I can only spin second when at 5000+ rpm in first

Yeah, me too. There have been a few times a got a tiny chirp on the 1-2 shift at lower rpms. That's all was trying to do. I understand that it probably pulled timing on the 1-2 shift because the rpms were too low. What I don't understand is why the car had no power for the next 1/2 mile of driving. It was like the computer needed time to recover or reset.
