I've found an increase in my economy eversince putting a stopper on my throttle pedal to reduce the dead space in the pedal. Seems to keep me from playing around with how hard I need to press it to maintain speed.

(if this makes sense lol)

It makes complete sense. Very often I drive purely using the cruise control buttons. I've learned that each press equals 1mph. So if I'm going 70 and now have open road to hit 75, I press the button 5 times. 5 quick presses makes the rpms jump while 5 spaced out presses makes the car hit 75 slower, but the rpms never jump. Thus, better gas mileage. I also try not to use the brakes, just press the minus button until I've slowed down enough.

Whats sad in that? That just means your driving the car like its meant to be driven......cruise control is lame!

Bump that, I drive 80 miles a day. Cops are all over the place. Cruise control has saved my *** more than a few times. That said, I've seen 140mph a few times and love to knife through traffic when the time is right.

i drive back and forth between college station and houston about once or twice a month. last time, i averaged 27.1 on my last trip from college station to houston. on the way back i got 25.3. when i got the 27.1, i had aired up each tire to 35 psi the day before and i reset the average mpg as soon as i pulled out of the gas station. i forget what my average speed was, but it was somewhere around 70 or 71 i think. only used cruise control to accelerate and slow down. i wish i would have taken a picture of my computer, i didn't realize it was tha far above what most normally get. i've tried since and havn't been able to do it again.

I average about 20mpg mixed driving. Best highway mileage I have gotten in 26mpg but by the end of the trip it was 24mpg.

My last stang got 12 city and 18 highway so I am pleased. Hopefully when I finally put the supercharger on I wont take to much of a hit.

I also found by running the b@ma 87 perf tune my mpg goes up 1-2 but when I run the 93 torque or race it goes down 1, compared to stock.

My overall average since I've owned the car has been 19mpg. Almost exactly the same as the 1993 Buick Century it replaced. Average would be a lot higher if I didn't feel the need to punch it everytime the light turns green. I only do city driving on the weekend. I'd be around 22-23mpg if I didn't do the city driving. Even higher if Icould drive more responsibly on thehighway.
