15.1 in my 05' GT WTF!

RE: 15.1 in my 05' GT WTF!
First thing I'd want to know is are you spinning your tires at take off? How are your 60 foot times?
But if you're rpms are dropping to 3800 then that leads me to believe that someone might have changed your shift points. Did you buy the GT from someone who used a tuner on it?
There's a way to reset the transmission's shift points, can't remember it right now.
Anybody?

Because something is wrong with his car! This is why I always buy new. I don't mind losing money on a new car or bike.

thanks guys, and yea my car is shifting at 6200 with my other gears. and yes i bought it used. and im real dissappointed. i think the problem is beyond a tune. 15.1 is just unacceptable, like i said i had a 15.4 with a stock autop v6

It sounds like a problem with the tune, go over the entire car and be sure of the aftermarket equipment on it, then order a SCT tuner with some tunes from someone like brenspeed/bamachips and at least have that ruled out. Or as I said before, get it on a dyno and have it checked out. Unless you bought it from Ford used, taking it to the dealership may not be a good idea since there is obviously aftermarket stuff done to it. Do you have the stock H-pipe and mufflers? If so, put those back to stock and take to Ford. Have Ford reflash your ecu to stock. Hopefully it's a tuning issue and not internal damage. Do you know the person you bought it from personally? Is contacting them an option? If so, get the tuner they had to have had and reflash to stock. Make sure the seller gave you all the stock parts. It might be somewhat of a pain but all is not lost and you'll be up and running normal times as soon as you get the issue diagnosed and fixed.

Dude I have 3:73's and I can take third gear to almost 105...I am assuming you have either 3:55's or 3:31's so you should be able to take 3rd to like 110ish...why are you shifting into 4th?
