Who has BLOWN their engine?
Ok so I don't see many blown motors around here besides someone putting 87 octane in a turbo car. That type of thing.
So I was wondering who here have blown their engine simply because they were pushing too much power?I am always told like 500 Bhp is max or something like that but then I heard about some guy in Kuwait running 600 on a stock engine for a while now. Any stories here?

I think his dad did it.........and he just ignored the resulting pinging. I mean, the car just had the turbo on it.........how could he resist?
Kudos on the rebuild though....should be able to handle a lot of TQ

blown. 515rwhp/510rwtq. not sure what caused it, just got off the dyno and showed very healthy. we think it may have been a hiccup in the fuel system, but not sure. Could be that the motor wasn't really made for 515hp??? Blew at about 3500 rpms, put holes in both sides of the block, shattered crank, bent 2 valves. That's ok, gave me a good excuse for a better one!

hiccup? what fuel system do you have? I would never expect a motor to let go at 3500rpms. Was that at WOT?

blown. 515rwhp/510rwtq. not sure what caused it, just got off the dyno and showed very healthy. we think it may have been a hiccup in the fuel system, but not sure. Could be that the motor wasn't really made for 515hp??? Blew at about 3500 rpms, put holes in both sides of the block, shattered crank, bent 2 valves.
