Default Burning Smell

Good evening,

I am a new owner of a 2007 Mustang GT/CS. I have only hadher two months and she hasaround 1000 miles on her. Today when I got home I smelled a burning smell coming from her. I popped the hood and did not see or hear anything out of the ordinary. Any ideas as to what the burning smell maybe?

Thanks for your help in advance.

Maybe it's the money in your wallet.......after putting 1000 miles on your car I am sure there are "mods" out there beginning to tempt you.

could be wiring or something sitting on the engine or exhaust, but not sure.

Ihave a few mods in mind mostly cosmetic due to the factI do not want to void my warranty.I work out of my house and travel a lot for business. SoI don't put too many on her.

Are there any areas where the smell is stronger (side of car, rear of car, under hood, interior, etc)?

There are typically a lot of stupid plastic things on new cars that are meant to be taken off. Make sure all wrappers and other things are off that should be off. Sounds like something is melting
