What possible advantage might 20" DR's have? I really am curious, so this is a serious question, not flame.

I can see a number of disadvantages, though, that almost certainly amount to enough to make you lose a really close race that you'd have won with conventional sizes. Keep in mind that the timing lights don't particularly care what the cars' rear wheels and tires look like.

fantastic way to kill your drivetrain. thats a hell of a lot of stress.

just get some 16 inch v6 wheels and put MT/et streets on them for the track. much better axle ratio[sm=goodidea.gif]

I have to agree. I have matching 18x10's with DR's on them for the track. They hook great but in reality you need more sidewall to absorb the shock of launching. I'm keeping my 18's for cruising, but I'm gonna look for some cheap ugly wheels to put DRs on at the track.

I guess if guys didn't want to go to the track with them, but wanted them for the street for overall better traction I could see that.

Chech out this link Even though these bfgs arent a trur drag radial they will definitely be your best option if your adament about staying with the 20 inch rim, I run 20 inch foose hornets, but I have a seperate set of bogarts 17 for the track with mickey thompson ET Streets, You should probably find some factory Gt wheels would be your best bet. It will be the easiest to deal with and you will shave some time off your ET's
