Default 4.10's, in the car, only have to spend $150. the catch is....

a guy i know has a twin turbo 05 mustang GT with 4.10's in the rear end. he wants to go back to 3.55's. he offered to swap rear ends with me; no money exchanged other than $150 bucks to pay the shop to swap rear ends. he has like 13k miles on the rear end, gears have been in for 5k, authentic FRPP's, no whine, no problems, etc. one trip to the track on 20" wheels STREET TIRES.

what do you guys think? how much would it cost to have the speedo recalibrated?

Wait as minute. Are you wsapping out the entire rear axle assembly, or are you just swapping the ring and pinion?

That isn't a bad deal if you know the guy well and trust him. Just make sure the axles aren't tore up from that high horsepower car.

You do know that the odometer runs in relation to your speedo right. So if the speedo says you're doing 85 and you are only really going 65, your mileage will be taching on more miles then you actually went.

Yeah, then I will just take 20% off of my mileage and be set again...

Just kidding, I just don't have the money right now to get it fixed...
