Default 2007 mustang GT 5-speed

I want to install 4.10:1 or 4.30:1 ring and pinon set. Do I have to adjust the computer for the speedometer and CanI also change my computer to adjust for 91 octane gas.

DD is Daily Driver .. 4.30 is too much for a daily driven car!!

You can buy a tuner from BamaChips or Brenspeed.
SCT and Diablo are the most popular tuning devices out there if not the only ones.
With the tuner, 93 octane gives you the best performance, but without a tune 93 is waste of money!!

Try the search feature, 75% of threads are about tuning!!

Which gears do you have now, 3.31 or 3.55?

To set the speedometer for the new gearing, you'll need to get a handheld tuner. (Not hard to use.) With a manual tranny, it doesn't hurt anything if you don't retune after getting gears, you just have to get good at converting MPH in your head. (Ask me how I know this!) As mentioned above, using higher octane fuel doesn't help much unless you tune for it. Brenspeed.com is definitely recommended.

I went from 3.31 to 4.10s on my daily driver and I think the 4.10s are great for all around use. I'm not sure why some say they are too much. Yes, at times I do drive on the highway quite a bit. I'd be very interested in hearing from people who put in 4.30s, there seems to be new interest in these.

I have 4.30's on my F-250 V-10 and with no load I can start out from a stop in 3rd gear.

I would think that if you put them in the Stang 1st gear would be useless.
