pointless in these cars. the fastest way to shift is carefully and practice.

I'll just stick to my slow method.

I have done this a few times @ WOT.....not the best feeling in the world...bounced it off the rev limiter more than I completed it successfully.....not worth it IMO unless you are racing for some big $$$ and have to win, your cars drivetrain in also on the line here!

I drove big trucks for 20 years.

Double clutching involves:

a: pushing in the clutch pedal while moving the gear lever into neutral.

b: pushing in the clutch again and moving the gear lever into the next gear.

Why do truckers double clutch? Because big trucks have no snynchros.

Meantime - your competitor is long gone!
yes!! trucking rocks. i love the fact that non-synchroed trucks can clutchless shift. on long trips id drive 100's of miles while pushing the clutch in once at the beginning of the trip. nothing better

I've done it once. Shifted fine without bouncing off the rev limiter, but dont plan on power shifting anymore. Just wanted to see if I could do it and it surly feels yucky.

I think it feels awesome and I can feel a big difference at WOT between granny shifting and powershifting. Agreed, nothing to do on a daily baisis, but at the track with the knowledge your driveline could go if you miss a gear...eh, it's fun.

You've been powershifting at the track all this time? I feel betrayed....j/kI'm still too chicken to try it. I want my tranny to last.
