What cables are needed to connect the diablo predator to the computer? Can I get them from best buy or any electronics store? I dont want to screw up one of the tunes so is there anything i should look out dor while loading it?

If the tuner didn't come with the cable I would be leary of using it. Tuners are keyed into the car they are installed on. Meaning, if you try to attach it to your car and it has the stock tune on it, one of two things will happen. One it won't let you do anything or two, it will simply upload someone elses stock tune.

I don't know of any place that sells the OBDII Port cable seperatly. Try contacting diablo directly.

To connect it to your computer you're going to need a serial to USB connector, and then a power adaptor if you're not able to hook it up to your car at the same time as your computer

You have two different responses that are correct. If you want to hook up the Predator to your HOME or LAPTOP computer, then yes you can get a cable for it. If you are trying to hook it up to your CARS computer, the Predator programmer should have the cable built into the tuner. If it doesnt then your out of luck.

I am certain he means his home computer so he can load tunes. This is what you will need.

1: Serial Cable: Standard straight-through DB9 (9-pin to 9-pin) RS232C serial cable (6 foot cable is more than enough). Check your computer to see if you have a male or a female port on the back, as some are different. You will need a male end to go into your Predator.
(Radio Shack Part # 26-117, 6-ft DB9 male to DB9 female shielded cable.)

2: Power Adapter: CLASS 2 TRANSFORMER
OUTPUT : 12VDC 1000mA (1 Amp)(Radio Shack Part # 273-1776)
Note: Plug Tip is 2.5mm x 5.5mm, female, and center is positive.(Radio Shack Part # 273-1717)

Radio Shack normally carries both of these items. Most Wal-Marts have the Power Adapter (multi output version).

You need a 9pin serial cable, female to male. You'll might also need a 12v / 1000ma ac-dc converter which you can pickup along with the appropriate tip from a Radio Shack. You can also use the car to power the Predator. Go to www.diablosport.com and download the DSDownloader, that is the program you use to send tunes to the tuner.

Thanks for the responses guys.. I just need to load the tunes from my Laptop to the Diablo sorry for the confusion.
