Anyone else ever notice this? I was running a firebird and at around 130 the hood started to vibrate/rattle I thought it was going to fly open.

Somewhat common. There have been a few posts about it with fixes. I gave the rubber bumper under the hood on the side that was shaking a quarter turn at a time until it seemed to quit. I think mine took about 2 or 3 adjustments. There's also some discussion about a piece of weather stripping on top of the headlights but I don't recall the details. Try the search function (IF it's working).

Definitely a common thing. Mine starts at about 135.

yeah.. happend last night... pretty scary thoughts goin through my mind when it happens lol

I adjusted mine (like I mentioned in post #2). Haven't seen it happen the last 3 runs to 110+.

mine does it aswell, been 150+ on the autobahn and it hasnt flown off, just jiggles a little. Im with the guy that said hood pins, they are an awsome visual and functional upgrade.

my car does it to........ i ajusted the rubber screws and it's better but it's not fixed...

I have been as high as 135, the hood was firmly planted. I havent taken it over 135 though.
