the whipple fits under the stock hood, but the
install manual recommends you remove the hood liner.
i chose not to remove my liner and just cut out a small section
where the pulley rubs.
it's an awesome s/c and you guys have great taste!

There's also some things keeping the 05+ kit from running the max boost that the compressor is capable of. The issue with the 05+ cars is the pulley ratio and what type of belt setup you're going to use. I don't think your going to get the results you want out of a 6 rib kit over 14psi. After that there's just not good enough belt wrap. So for the customers looking to make big power we suggest them to go with an 8 rib kit. The smallest 8 rib upper that I sell is a 2.60". That combined with an Innovators West 8.0" crank pulley will only yield you about 19psi. If you're wanting more that that there's going to be other work necessary to the belt system to allow the blower the be spun at a higher RPM.
I don't see why you couldn't make similar power as a 4V at similar boost levels. Although the 4V heads flow real well the 3V is a good flowing head as well.

The Saleen blower makes about 600rwhp at 14-15psi (JDM's car...ran 9.85 in 1/4 mile the other day)...so assuming the whipple makes similar numbers, I would expect around 700rwhp at 20-22psi

JimIII@JDM 11.51 @ 114 with a 1.57 60 foot!!!! Took out some weight, ditching the stock front seats for a single bucket Saleen carbon fibre seat, the passenger one from our blue car.

Just to clarify the Saleen@14-15 PSI will not make 600rwhp on a stock block. It just isn't possible. I'm sure that JimIII will verfy that. Look below at a quote from tp see what the car makes at 15psi on a stock block. The Saleen just doesn't flow enough air at that boost level to compete with the flow of the Whipple. Not trying to get off topic here or start a debate on which blower is better but facts are facts. Jared

It is bored to a 298 which is only 17 cubic inches....pretty good numbers regardless
