Default stock air box with Shaker/K&N/tune vs. Shaker/CAI and tune

Hello,

I have a 2007 GT, 5 speed with CDC shaker and high flow K&N in the factor box. So is functioning as cold air forced into factory box with a high flow K&N filter in it.

I order the Superchip Flashpack tuner, Ford racing X pipe and 373 ford racing gears for my car.Car has roush short shifter and roush 427 R exhausts already. What type of HP gain should I see with all these mods combined?

Can you think of any additional mods I can do to gain horsepower other than supercharger?

I am wondering if I would see any benefit by adding a CAI in conjuction with the Shaker? I would have to place a hole thru the heat sheild to feed the air from the shaker in.

Steve

the shaker really doesnt do much at all for performance, the K&N doesnt either.....I would cancel the superchips tuner and buy a CAI/Tuner kit from Bamachips or Brenspeed.

I agree. Cancel shipment and buy a CAI and tune from Brenspeed.

I keep hearing about problems with dirty throttle bodies. Any chance the CAI"s are letting in more than just extra air? From what I have read , the biggest improvement comes from the tune , not the CAI.

What is the difference between the Superchips programmer from others? Still not sure what benefit the CAI will give me with having the K&N high flow filter in the box with the shaker feeding cold air from the hood into the box?

If you were going to recommend a CAI, I assume I would cut a hole thru the heat shield to feed the shaker in? Recommendations on a good CAI?

Happy Thanksgiving!
