I use Heel-Toe or whatever you want to call it about 95% of the time in normal mundane daily driving. It just gives me smoother control of the car. If you click on www.hookedondriving.com and go to the heel-toe video, you'll see the technique I use being demonstrated by an instructor (on an s197 no less!) I keep the heel firmly on the floor for stability and control. I came to this technique by trial and error. I'm glad these guys are doing it, it makes me think I'm doing something right.

There ya go...sleeper found the video I was talking about. Get that mastered and you'll feel a lot better about tackling corners whether you want to drift, trail brake or just execute a smooth downshift.

Drifting is the second gayest thing on the planet.
Please explain to me how 'sexuality' comes into play here. And if drifting comes in 2nd on your list, what comes in at first? ... Just being gay?

Also, were you even slightly aware of the fact that a Falken sponsored drifting S197 Mustang went over to Japan and pretty much wooped the pants off every Japanese car there? How in the world could that ever be GAY?

The imports came over to the U.S. and picked fights with the Mustang, Camaro, Firebird, TransAm, etc etc... andthey put up a damn good fight but ultimately could not outdo V-8 performance. The Mustang goes over there and embarrasses the Japanese at their own game.

Please re-evaluate your stance on drifting.

I don't want to be gay Dave, PLEASE change your mind, PLEASE.
Yes, drifting ranks just under actual gayness. (sexual congress between two men)

If gayness offends you, replace it with retarded.

LOL.

But drifting makes uR car teh fastarrrr

that little152 needs some wheelpants Qatar!

I'm not a fan of drifting, but the japs HARDLY invented it.

Anybody ever been to their local dirt track? Anybody ever seen World of Outlaws? We invented that **** decades ago.

It's not he driving part that's gay - it's the $1000 wings (most of which are just for looks) and big decal kits that define it that are gay. Years ago when street racing still existed and was relatively safe (before it was ruined by guess who - The Slow and the Frustrated), I saw a Civic with a PVC PIPE ROLL CAGE in it. The driver said "it's about the styling man". I knew then the motorsports world was heading downhill.
