I just wanted to ask Hellion owners at what rpms their car starts making boost. My 05 gt is making 492rwhp but it really doesnt come alive till about 4800rpms. Is there anyway to tune the car so it makes boost sooner? It seems I have to shift as soon as I start making any power.

 

what size turbo did you get? The 62 or upgrade to 76mm? either way that doesn't sound right. Mine has full boost before 3000rpm, pretty much as soon as I give it gas. Have you done anything extra, like boost controller or anything? May be a vacuum issue

 

You can control it with a boost controller. Raise the stall for great streat-a-bility

 

I have the std turbo that comes with the kit. Running a 7# spring. My dyno chart shows it making power the same place the ones posted on Hellions web site does. I think Im just looking for throttle response this system wont give. Whos tune are you guys using.

I went to buy a s/c and the guy talked me into a turbo. My only experience with turbo has been on a 87 GN Regal. If seen other people post on here and say they wish they had gone with a turbo instead of a s/c. Who knows!!!!
