Default should i?

custom exhaust project... thinking about running some pipes straight down from the factory shorties, eliminating the midpipe and cat back, going to a side-exit, with say some straight thru muffs, stingers, magnapaks, etc.our shop at our school has everything i need, except the muffs, of course... would this be an interesting new sound?

What are you going to do about the empty openings on the rear bumper?

Please do it. It is 55 degrees today in Philadelphia and I am hoping it will average in the 60's next year.

Sorry for being off topic, but I say that all the time and no one has any clue what I am talking about. That guy was hilarious!!

you need an X or H pipe or you are going to have uneven amounts of backpreasure due to an odd firing motor

I'm with Mustangman on this one. There would be little to no backpressure which could result in a loss of HP. Even with mufflers it probably wouldn't sound that good. Apart from a muffler, much of the tone comes from your midpipe. Your much better off sticking with a midpipe, whether it be a O/R or catted H or X.

Also a note if you plan on putting mufflers in the middle. The only style you can put up underneath would be a bullet, or round style muffler. I have Magnaflows on mine. They're the magnapak style like the Cervinis side exhaust ones. They're 24in long and 4in round. Anything bigger in diameter and you'll run into possible clearance concerns with the fuel tank and under body. I'm pretty sure the smallest Borla round muff is either 5 or 6in round.
