Default Tuned GT 5 speeds please....

Well thanks for looking into this.

I have a new GT on order and I am going to get tuned (XCAL) fora Steeda CAI. I'm wondering if you have had more than 1 tuner do your tunes? What was your preferance?
I know these top tuners are similar and put up good products and numbers but if you had more that one do it who did you like better.
Also, what is it that a tuner can do for a 5 speed? I know about air/fuel mixture and movement throughout the power band, but having an Auto tuners can really help out alot with the way the car shifts and get rid of lag. So could you please expound on that info a lil bit.
Before I get killed here, I've done research but it seems to boil down to "the best" is the tune your currently using, soI guess I wanna know why its the best?
Also Bama's TQ, R/T and preformance tunes how do they differ in a 5 Speed.
Thanks for this help, I;m looking forward to some good info here.
RON

ramays06,

just make a personal decision here, I personally would not go with Brenspeed and feel they are way overrated when it comes to tuning. I say make a decision yourself because it is a file that is already made for your vehicle and it really isn't going to matter until you NEED a dynotune.
-Bamachips
-Brenspeed
-Evolution Performance
-VMP Tuning Inc.

You are going to pick up some power, torque, and increased throttle response from this modification.

I'm using a Steeda intake combined with a tune from VMP and loving it. I had a Brenspeed tune but VMP's is stronger on the low-end, and I like the low-end torque on the street. Justin at VMP is also very easy to reach. Just my $.02.

I wish I could help you out on this one Ron, but I've only had a Bama tune.

I have a Steeda and Brenspeed combo with an 06 5-speed. Although I have never run anyone else's tune, I can say that I am very happy with Brent's, and it was an incredible difference over stock. Best $$ I ever spent, and the fastest power gain I've ever seen. The whole thing, CAI install and tune any everything, took under an hour. The first time I started it I could tell the difference.

Trust me, do it, you won't regret it. I bought my car in March and hemmed and hawwed about getting a CAI and tune until like September. Stupid me!! I only had like 5 weeks left I could drive it before it had to get garaged up. Wish I had done it sooner!!

Ron, I went with the tune and C&L CAI from Alternative Auto (Lidio). Baselined at 261rwhp and 280rwtq to 283 rwhp and 299rwtq with the CAI and tune from Lidio. By the way mine is a 5 speed.

How much did you pay for that dyno tune from Alternative Auto? My girlfriend lives in New Baltimore, I'm there alot. If you ever see a satin silver GT with fanblades, flag me down.[8D]
