Default O2 sensor problems

I have a 2005 mustang w/ some mods and my check engine light came on. The code description is O2 sensor bank1 and bank2 slow response time.

had custom bosch sensors and went back to stock sensors, but light still comes back.

Do you have long tubes? After I had my long tubes installed I get that occasionally. I believe its a P1033. Basically with the extensions it takes the signal a slight bit longer to reach the ECU. This will throw the light. I had my tuner do something and it decreased the occourance. Not sure what it did. It's nothing to worry about.

i had the same code after installing LT's and o/r x-pipe. i kept on clearing the code, but it kept coming back untill i reloaded the tune instead of clearing the code then it never came back again.

I have reloaded the tune and since then have had a dyno tune, it must be the extensions.

I had the same problem after I installed longtubes and a midpipe on my car. Didn't really happen all that often so I just cleared it with the tuner when it popped up.

Yeah it came back, I'm going to try taking some wire out of the harness and see if it will reach the sensor then.

Thanks, but I only have two sensors on now without the cats, and I can't put simulators in place of them.
