Hey i have BBK LT's and BBK x-pipes with cats and my check engine light came on. what do i have to do to fix it. sorry i am new to these things

Did youhave your car tuned when you added the LT's?

you gotta turn off the rear O2 sensors w/ the tuner. sometimes even w/ hi flow cats the CEL still may come on. or use the old MIL eliminators, but might as well get the tuner bc your gonna need it w/ further mods.

Just some info- you have fourO2 sensors. Two in the LT collectors and 2 behind the CATs. Without knowing the CEL code we can't tell you which sensor is throwing the error. When Long Tubes are installed you really should get the car custom tuned - first choice would be on a dyno. 2nd choice would be to get a semi-custom tune from a vendor like Brenspeed.com. You can buy a Tuner (handheld computer that reads codes and installs tunes), both SCT XCal 2 or 3 or Diablo Predator are good choices. But...its the Tune that counts, that what you want. Find a local performance shop with a dyno and S197 experience or call Brenspeed.

Don't worry about which handheld - worry about who is going to tune it and buy the one he recommends...
