What does it take to install a bung in the midpipe to get a more accurate reading at WOT? Anyone with specific instructions?

I did this myself. It cost more than having a muffler shop do it because I bought a Mig welder, but this I felt was the perfect task to learn how to weld. I put the bung on the passenger side, between the cat and the junction where the header meets. I pulled that section of the exhaust off the car, since the welder uses electricity, I didn't want to take any chances killing my electric system. Drill a hole, welded the piece on. I have pics on my camera. I did practice welding on scrap exhaust material, but my weld still came out a little ugly, but it works.

So you took the midpipe off and welded it the pipe close to the header on the passenger side?

The shop that did it for me put it right in the middle of the midpipe to get readings from both sides of the exhaust. I get good readings.

That is correct. And it makes it easy to run the cable up through the wheel well and through the grommit. When I get home tonight I can post pics.

See thats what I was thinking..wouldnt placing the bung in the middle where the "h" is give a more accurate reading?
