The name in your Avatar is BEGGING me to make some silly remark. But I feel for you Bro, honestly it's threads like this that make me uneasy about going FI. Hope you get to the bottom of the problem. Good Luck.

Just be patient it will all get worked out. I went through the same thing with my turbo. You know the s/c will work because alot of people have them. Believe me I know how you feel. If my car had been my daily driver I would have probally sold it. If all else fails call Brenspeed and just buy one of their tunes for it. They know more about s197s than anyone.

Don't get me wrong, he's good, but he's not in the top ten of 'best'.

go to a different shop! I have read several posts lately with the same/similiar problems, my car had a similiar problem went to a different tuner had the car retuned and now its fixed. The shop I went to was hp-performance their website is www.hp-performance.com ask for Tony, he will work with your dyno shop over the phone and tune your car, I am also very sure that other places will do the same, just do give up! Take it somewhere else, get a second opinion.

I have to chime in on this...
it sounds to me like the exact same problem I had...it ended up being a loose belt, incorrectly gapped plugs and just an all out bad tune.
For a S/Cd engine the gap should be around .30-.35 and hopfully not too much carbon build up. It couldn't hurt just to check the gap. I know the HT0 from Autolite come gapped at .45 FRPP Cold plugs are at .35
It may or may not solve the problem, but a lot of little things can make one big problem that even a tuner has a hard time tracking down. And like I said, it couldn't hurt to just check.
