My GT-500 stock did'nt put up impressive numbers, at the Dyno it was 450rwhp. With that being said after the Cai+2.6 pulley+new plugs+and dyno tune with a 91 and 100octane tune it's putting down 560rwhp on the 91 octane tune, oh I also put in the AFCO Dual pass heat exchanger. The car really comes de-tuned from the factory, mike at silverstate motorsports does all my work. I have some suspension mods I am doing next to help hook up better, so far I have walked a boxster and cayman from a roll at 40mph, they actually pulled me by about 1 car length at the start, but after it hooks up in 3rd gear it was noteven close, I stopped at 130 with about 7 car lengths.

I have heard that they can be beat with about 420rwhp in our cars if they are stock (this is not taking many other variables into consideration)

the bone stock ran a 12.6 w/ 2.0 60ft best, the stock one w/ dr ran 11.8 the bolt on ran a high 10 and the one w/ more bolt ons(pulley, intake, full exhuast, headers) ran a low 10.
So just by adding dr tiresw/ a good driver makes it a high 11 sec car.

The stock internals in a GT500 are already forged, so they can take ALOT more power.

It depends on if the guy with the GT500 can drive. I ran against one twice at the track earlier this year and beat it by 4 tenths both times. The guy just couldn't figure out how to launch it. I asked him if he wanted me to show him how it's done and he told me to "f*ck off". That was a fun day!
