Default Isotropic Gear Finishing...Worth Going With?

Haven't seen much on the forum about these? I'm guessing this a "racing thing". Is this something that is good for the daily driver? Are there any disadvantages to getting 4:10 gears that have been treated with this process? See link below and scroll down...they're selling them for $225

Benefits Claimed:
Increased Speed
•Less Fuel Consumption
•Increased Durability
•Cooler Operating Temperatures
•Reduced Surface Micro Pitting

Wow, this must be some esoteric process since many are really not familiar with it...now I'm really curious!

I admit to knowing very little about this. My understanding is that it's worth it only if you are drag racing with the "big dogs."

Basically, what it does is to increase the wear resistance of the gears (longevity).
