Default Auto Meter a/f install question

What I need to know is which wire to connect the brown wire to , I know it is to the wide open throttle switch but witch wire ?

hey ebr, i havn't seen anyone with an S197,
hook the brown wire to anything but ground.

not saying it can't or hasn't been done, just
that i havn't read about it

ebr, I have the gauge installed and unless your going to data log all you need to do is ground it on the firewall. When your under the car make sure you don't get the wires in a tight bind, like a 180 degree bend. If you find out where to hook it up for data logging let us know.

Turns out you need to install a normally open wide open throttle sensor switch. (Commonly used for nitrous applications) in oder to use the brown wire. Otherwise, just ground it. (Mine is grounded under the driver's side dash with the normal ground for the wideband)

My instuctions say the blue/black and the blue go to the data logger, the black is the ground, the red is to 12v ignition switch and the brown to the wide open throttle switch (for wide open peak function) as the instruction say.

Correct, but a wide open throttle switch isn't something that comes with the car. It something that needs to be added.
