Here are some pics I pulled online of the gauges I ordered, as well as the clutch I ordered from Brenspeed. The speed of sound triple gauge pillar showed up at my door today, so the project feels sort of official now. Still waiting for that check to clear so that I can order the blower.

Thanks. Yep, I've already swapped a clutch on an S197 once before on a buddy's GT, so I'm not too concerned about it. The only difference is that we had access to a lift back then, and this time I'm gonna have to do it on jackstands. Not looking forward to that.

If only I could get my mini-lift idea off the ground, then you could buy it and be set. It will lift the car 4 feet off the ground, but unfortunately, i have no idea how to design it.

I can get my car pretty high with just 2x10's, large floor jack and 2 sets of rhino ramps.

Did you have trouble getting the pilot bearing out? This is the only part that concerns me. I plan to buy a trans jack from harborfreighttools.com for $49. It's only got to work once or twice anyway.

No trouble at all. Just used a slide hammer to pop it out.

Thanks, i feel a bit more optimistic. I'm going to rent or borrow a puller from autozone. I'm not planning to replace the slave cylinder unless it's leaking, did your friend replace his?

Nah, but his car had less than 2,000 miles on it when we replaced his clutch. If your mileage is high, I'd make sure the local ford dealer has one on hand just in case I decided to change it while the tranny was out.

While we're on the topic of the clutch, my spec II showed up today. All I can say is Dave at brenspeed is the man. I ordered the clutch yesterday and it arrived today. Brenspeed is like 800+ miles away! Brenspeed will ALWAYS have my business.
