Default MPG Increase...

Maybe an interesting tidbit, maybe not?

But I personally found it intriguing that upon performing my first oil change to Mobil 1 5W20, I have noticed a 2-3MPG increase vs. the first 1700(when I bought it)-2600 miles.

You don't say what you're getting.

At a steady 75 mph - I get around 26 mpg!

I would contribute some of that to the breaking in of the car though too. My milage sucked for a bit in the beginning and then after about 2500 started to get better

Hell, I'm not getting that and I have 3.55 gears.... But this is mostly city type driving conditions...
Then again, I don't know how accurate everything is, cause the speedo has not been calibrated with the change to 20" wheels.

I fill up when the fuel light comes on, and it takes about 14.5 gallons to top it back off. Started out by getting 250 miles between fill-ups = roughly 17.5mpg. Since the oil change to Mobil 1, it's gone up to around 290 miles = roughly 20mpg.

The speedo is off by 3 mph.

Your foot is probably in it a little less since you are getting used to it.

Not really. I still like to push the pedal to the floor when leaving lights and stuff. You know, working on different launching techniques, etc. Sorry, it's just the drag racer in me.

Probably just the motor breaking in.

I was waiting for one of these posts. Do you mean getting 27.2 mpg AND driving a GT all at the same time isn't important? We get to have our cake and eat it too. It's the engine breaking in BTW.
